Hi Beti,

We have had no cases of mold problems even in the Washington state region where there is a lot of shade and water. In fact, we have had installations in situations where they wanted to resolve mold problems.

As for the bank issue, NewGrass is anchored on the edges so as long as it was anchored so that the water would not run underneath the NewGrass you should be okay.

We have two problem areas - one is a shaded level lawn surrounded by pine trees, with bad drainage. Have had it hydroseeded three times with short-lived results. Wouldn't mold be a problem here? The other is a steeply sloping bank, at 45 degrees, where rains wash away the topsoil on a regular basis. Could NewGrass be anchored firmly enough on such a steep slope?

Hi Heather,

There is no limit to the size of the installation. One and a half acres would be large but we could do it!

How large of an area can be successfully installed? Most of teh pictures are for relativley small lawns. We have a large 1.5 acre common area within a homeowners association that is struggling with water/maintenance bills - this woud be ideal....any thoughts?

Hi Marilyn,

The prices for NewGrass are found on this site here http://www.newgrass.com/products_newgrass.htm these prices do not include installation as the cost of installation is project specific.
